A fundamental “option” to the guitar is the pickup and its function, which is most important as guitars go from acoustic to electric.
Pickups for each and every model, be it humbucker or single coil, have wooden structure and hand wiring, with characteristics depending on the guitar’s specs and guitarist’s preferences. The pickup structure is totally in wood with covers in ebony. Its spaces are specifically planned by the placement of the magnets and particular wiring. These varying specs give the pickup a warm and peremptory sound even on non wound strings. Magnetic bars are made with Alnico II and V material.
In semi acoustic guitars, the pickup is not placed in a hole inside the body of the guitar, but is fixed with screws on the side of the soapbar style pickup. In acoustic guitars, the pickup is fixed on the finger rest or pick guard, where the volume and tone controls are also mounted. The “Elettra” model has a flat-top, where H2 and H3 pickups are used. These humbuckers have woody structure and traditional shape, space and lodging. H1, H2 and S1 pickups have adjustable poles, allowing adjustments to the output power for each string. This allows balancing the power of less powerful strings. H3 is a dual coil Alnico V pickup, without a central magnetic bar and no-adjustable magnetic poles. Each model can be customized by changing the wiring and type of magnet to differentiate brilliance, power etc.
It is also possible to add piezoelectric pickup to traditional magnetic pickups.
